One of the most intriguing stories in the bible is the death and resurrection of Lazarus by Jesus Christ. There are so many aspect that the death and resurrection of Lazarus and how Jesus handled the situation that we can incorporate in our lives. Whether you are experiencing dead spots in your personal relationship with Christ, in your marriage / family, in your career, finances or any other place in your life, we must first understand that we have the power to speak life into our situations. Jesus waited two days before he left to be with Lazarus’ body after he died. It took Jesus and his disciples two days before getting there and at that time, Lazarus was dead four days. Lazarus’ family and even some of his disciples wondered why Jesus just didn’t keep him alive to begin with. Jesus was so troubled by everybody’s lack of faith because they thought Jesus should have done something sooner. (the scripture “Jesus Wept”, John 11:35 was the reaction to Jesus being troubled by their lack of faith, not in the death of Lazarus because He knew that Lazarus would be resurrected). However Jesus was going to use this as a teaching moment to those that questioned Him. What Jesus was going to do was symbolic to what was about to happen to Him and how it would effect our lives to this day. How often do we want Jesus or other people to show up when we want to and expect them to fix our issue for us and then when it doesn’t happen when we want it, then we begin to question them. We have to understand that the power is in us to be able to resurrect dead spots in our lives. This mean we have to have faith, have a pure heart and mind, and begin to speak life to our situations. Next week, I will speak on how the resurrection of Lazarus can be used in our lives in order to build a closer relationship with Christ, and turn our problems into blessings. God bless John 11:1-37

While we tend to think we can handle anything and everything that comes our way, we must remember our CREATOR is ever present. Truly, we must, “Cast ALL out cares on HIM,” believing, knowing and trusting GOD to help us. We have to depend on HIM in order to make our burdens light. Developing faith is like developing the body and getting it into a desired shape. Dedication, consistency, and exercising on a regular basis are absolute requirements. Reading/studying the Bible (dedication), prayer/praise/communication (exercise), daily (regular basis), will shape our faith. There will be trials and tribulations throughout life, such situations will cause us to develop a personal relationship with our FATHER as we learn to trust, lean and depend on HIM for everything, no matter how big or small. Overall, the essence of faith is to please GOD. So, as you travel this journey of life, know that nothing is too hard for GOD. No matter what comes your way, be it good or bad, have faith and trust GOD continuously. God bless, Hebrews 11:6

Order has a significant place in our lives. Whether we realize it or not, order gives us peace which God intends for us to have. Sometimes we can mistake order for being something that either holds us back or doesn’t allow us to be ourselves. After all, nobody knows you better than yourself right? So why not create rules for yourself? While it may initially feel right at the time, we soon find out that our own rules create more problems for us later down the road. This is why God created order for our lives, not to hold us back, but elevate us forward without the many problems we create for ourselves when we are out-of-order. For instance, you can have all of the ingredients to make a cake from scratch, but, if the ingredients are out-of-order, the cake won’t come out perfect. If, the ingredients are in order, according to the recipe, you get the desired outcome of the cake. In others words, for best results, follow the instructions. Such is our lives, in that God has given us what we need to fulfill what He has called us to do. Until, we get ourselves in order, in every aspect, we will never have the desired outcome. As you examine your life, if anything is out of order, regarding God, work-on-it. What is God’s order? God, marriage, family, and government. Have your personal relationship with Christ first, put your marriage ahead of everything else, (as this is the first ordained union by God), spend time with your family, God has these people in your life for a reason, and then government, (meaning your business, job, or other entities you are affiliated with). Once these things are in order, everything else will fall in place and you will have your desired outcome. God bless.

Having the right intentions when doing something or approaching someone is important, but sometimes our good intentions can be mistaken for something else. The way we approach a situation or person can make or break the ordeal. No matter how bad or uncomfortable the situation, approaching with love and a soft spoken tongue is what God has asked of us. Its easy to get upset with somebody or a situation and let out all of the anger and frustration right on the spot, but in usually doesn’t resolve anything. A soft tongue and love is the best approach; even if you have to step away for a second to gather yourself, cool down, and get under control. Do it so that you can approach that person or situation the way God wants you to. after all, God always approach us with a soft tongue and love, even when we are at our worst. (Galations 5:22-26).

Success is such a broad word because it means different things to different people. We all want to be successful in whatever our goals are, however some us don’t realize what it means to walk in successes. What I have notice is some people lack of drive and determination to stand firm when hardship comes during the process of getting to success. What we have to understand is that success comes with a price. Sacrifice, hardships, test of our faith and patients all comes on the road to success. God create us in his own image, therefor we all have what it takes to be successful. We were created to be successful, but sometimes we let our pride get in the way of what it means to walk in success. Whether it’s pursuing your career goals, following your dreams, marriage, raising a family, or even working on yourself, you have what it takes to be successful, however you have to endure the hardships. The only difference between successful people and non-successful people is their ability to endure. God bless. 2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17

To be covered or for someone to have your back is good feeling, especially when you are in time of need or trouble. For a person to have your back covered means they are a true friend and will stick with you always. There is a certain comfort in knowing that somebody has your back covered. especially when things and or people start causing problems in your life. One of my favorite people in the Bibles was Moses. Moses was a man after God’s heart and wanted to always be covered in God’s presents so that He could be covered in His Glory. God’s Glory reflected on Moses face so much that after speaking with God, even Moses enemy’s and hater had to back away from Moses. This is why it’s important to make sure you have the CORRECT covering on you. B/c what you reflect is what you will attract. To have God’s glory on your life will make even your enemy’s back away from you. Reflect on your life and see who is covering you. Spend personal time with God so that His Glory can reflect on your life.
