Quick and easy question, who wants to be blessed???? I know I do. When God blesses you, its truly an amazing experience, but a lot of times we can be narrow minded or even block our blessings completely because we tend to get in the way of our own selves. In order for me to give you something, you have to open your hand(s) to receive it. In order for me to help you with something, you must stop and let me help you. God operates in the same way. He will give you your blessings when you let go of whatever you are trying to hold on to to receive HIS blessings, and God will step in and help you as soon as you are done helping yourself. Take this opportunity to humble yourself and ask God for your blessings. But in doing that, you have to remove yourself and pride from whatever your struggles and concerns are in order for God to step in and truly bless you which is something that will last a lifetime. Proverbs 28:20

Faith is a lifestyle and not a simple act. We all have faith and exercise it on a daily basis. When we go to start our car, we just have faith that all of the components under the hood are in working order and it will start as soon as we turn the ignition. Even when we go to sit in a chair, we have faith that the components of the chair will be able to support us once we sit down. But how do you know you have faith when you place it in God’s hands? The Word of God teaches us that Faith and fear can’t reside in the same place. Like light and darkness can’t co-exist. When you find yourself nervous, afraid, or shaken by something that has happen to you, then you have to start looking at your lack of faith in God or is your faith even in the right person? When we have child like faith in God, then fear is no longer present in our hearts, no matter what happens. I encourage everybody to do a faith check, if you don’t have it, get it, if you do have it, make sure its with God and not man or things. Matthew 8:26

How we wake up in the morning usually sets the tone for how our day will go. Every action we carry our is pre-seeded with a thought. Sometimes we cause our own stress and anger simply because we are thinking on negative things. While there are plenty of negatives to think on, it’s important that we keep our thoughts on positive things. When we are thinking positively, it result to a positive and uplifting day. So on today, no matter what negative is going on around you, in your house hold, at work, with your family or friends, think on the positive things so that you can be blessed and field with joy. More importantly, keep your mind stayed on Jesus. God bless everyone. Philippians 4:8

Who is responsible for your happiness? Who is responsible for your Joy? Is it your mother or father? Is it your friends? Is it your spouse or significant other? To often times we have heard people say I’m not happy with this situation or person or we may have been told that by somebody else. The reality is, when you find yourself with out happiness, joy, or peace, then what you should be looking at is your relationship with Christ. If Christ is love, and love brings about happiness and joy, then we are responsible for our own happiness and joy simply by building a relationship with Christ. Once Christ is in your heart and you have a personal relationship with HIM, then no matter what situation you are going through or who you are dealing with, your happiness and joy will always be present. Remember, true happiness doesn’t come from your friends, family, or spouse/significant other, but rather from Jesus Christ. Psalms 128:1-2

Have you ever had the right intentions in doing or saying something to somebody, but ended going completely wrong? One thing we have to remember is that the way we approach a situation or person can make or break the ordeal. We have to remember that no matter how bad the situation is or how uncomfortable, approaching with love and a soft spoken tongue is what God has asked of us. Its easy to get upset with somebody or a situation and let out all of the anger and frustration, but a resolution is never reached. Remember on today, a soft tongue is the best approach. Even if you have to step away for a second to gather yourself, cool down, and get under control, do it so that you can approach that person or situation the way God wants you to, after all, God always approach us in love even when we are at our worst. (Galations 5:22-26)

When Jesus and the Disciples arrived at the tomb of Lazarus, family members, again, started to question Jesus as to why He didn’t come earlier to save Lazarus. This is symbolic of how we are when in a bind, we want Jesus to move quickly and on our behalf. Often we find that after much prayer, it feels as though God isn’t moving fast enough or just isn’t hearing us at all. When Jesus was being questioned, he was saddened by the lack of faith of people around Him. Jesus looked toward Heaven and spoke to His Father, saying, for the benefit of the people standing there, He would raise Lazarus from the dead so they would believe. Often times we wait for Jesus to show us something in order to believe or have faith. Regardless of how bad things are and what we think the timing should be, keeping our faith in Jesus pleases Him, but more importantly, it’s our faith that gives us the power to speak life into our situations. Please note: His ways are not our ways, His thoughts, (way of thinking), are not our thoughts, and more so, His time is not our time. Jesus is ready to move on our behalf; however, our faith and our hearts must be in order. Whatever it is in your life that is dying or is dead, speak life unto it knowing that through your faith in Jesus, it will come to pass, (if, it’s according to His will), just as Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
John 11: 38-44
